Dr. Gayathri Shrikanth, a renowned ophthalmologist in Chennai, has written a biography of the Superstar titled “The Name is Rajnikanth”. Due to release in Chennai on the 6th of March, it is priced at Rs. 495.

I attended the Chennai book release yesterday (and incidentally met up with Ravi after a long time) at Book Point opposite Spencer’s Plaza.

The book was written by Vedanayakam Pillai back in 1857, but till now, no efforts were made to translate it. The translation was done by my aunt, Dr. Meenakshi Tyagarajan and the book was published by Katha. The book was formally released yesterday in Chennai by Shri Ashokamithran (the writer’s writer, as Lazygeek would call him).

The novel, in itself, is a very interesting tale. Pull out a copy, and sit down for an enjoyable evening.
