TAG - 10 Things That Define My Style
Thanks to Sandhya, my blog has finally been bitten by the tagging bug. So now, I’m ‘it’. I am supposed to list down 10 things that define my style…
So here they are, in no particular order…
- I like to keep my media organized (on my computer that is). Every single file is tagged and named properly and kept in the appropriate folder. In addition to that, I keep a picture of the album cover in each folder. See the picture below for an idea of how it looks.
My desk is usually in a big mess, in absolute contrast to my laptop… - I love buying accessories for my devices. I can list quite a few here, but I won’t. And I prefer wireless devices. On the other hand, I don’t usually spend much on personal articles.
- I enjoy a good round of fragging on Unreal Tournament and am always ready for a network game with the guys. As Sathish would put it, ‘I am the Alpha and the Omega’
- I’m too lazy to check out sites that link to me. I leave that work to Google
- I like programming, to the extent that I’d rather write my own log parser than use an existing one.
- I prefer taking vacations on my own schedule, rather than when they are imposed on me. The only problem I see with vacations is the boredom - What do I do?
- I’m crazy about movies. (OK, that’s the next tag)
- I prefer staying in the background. I’m not a publicity hound.
- I love buying tools and tinkering with gadgets. However, that will have to be put on hold for about a year or so, until I finish this course and get a job.
- I won’t say that I’m modest, but I don’t usually talk about myself…
Wow! Getting this list proved to be quite hard. So is getting a list of whom to tag… OK here goes [evil grin]… Kartik, Ravages, Sudhish, Kiruba, Ravi, Ravi, B a l a j i, Srikanth, Sheky, Vijay, Kishore, Mukunth, Varun, Murali and Sudhon (if he has the time). Of course, anybody else can take this up. Just put a note in the comments when you do.

Ah the cursed tag. Fortunately, my blog is tag-proof. So I will define my style-defining 10 things right here [evil grin, right back at you].
But there aren’t really ten of them. At least I don’t think there are. Let’s see.
1. My Walk: I hardly ever stumble. I think it is positively shameful to bump into people and poles.
2. My talk: I try and avoid stuttering. I also almost never do ‘ummm’s and ‘uhhhh’s. I have found that makes it easier for people to believe/trust you.
3. My abode: I am really not into spacious gareebkhanas. I can’t help but think space is wasted too often. I am fine with walls closing in on me. I need only enough ground to pace.
4. My blog: I might call it my sanctuary too. Its where I go to escape my life. In the last one year I have spent much enjoyable time taking care of it and filling it with things that matter to me.
5. My little ambitions: I spend many hours a week designing courses of action to follow so I can get to I-can’t-tell-you-where-just-yet. But it’s important.
6. My bookshops: I like whiling away my time in bookshops. Downside is, I can hardly ever walk away without buying something. The malls are on to me!
That’s it I guess. I look back at what I have typed and see nothing worldly there. The first two even appear narcissistic. Had I been in Chennai, my list would have been closer to what yours is. My life is narrowing down here. So is my style.
