Laptop Troubles, part 2.0

Two things. One, I’ve given my laptop to IBM for servicing and should probably get an estimate on it by tomorrow.

Two, I’ve installed WordPress 2.0 on this blog. The main blog won’t look any different, but the admin section is just way too cool.

My laptop has started showing signs of ageing. Yesterday evening, when I tried to start it, the light came on and then instantly it went out again. This happened for some 10-15 times.

I removed the battery, RAM, and hard disk, then reconnected the lot and restarted - lo and behold, she started up.

Then again, today morning, same problem, same solution (except that I didn’t disconnect the hard disk).

Looks like I need a new laptop…

Update (27-Dec-05 - 10.30 am): It certainly looks like I need a new laptop. My laptop has completely conked out…

Wordpress 2.0 out soon

Wordpress 2.0 is getting released soon. As per the official page, the release candidate is available for download. I’m waiting eagerly for the final to come out so that I can start upgrading. Can’t wait to see what’s under the hood for this release…

Firefox Referrals

Google Adsense users now have an option to display Firefox referrals on their Adsense enabled site. However, unless I’m mistaken, the Google tool will point to Firefox with Google Toolbar installed. And given that they will only credit the account those users who click through and install Firefox for the first time (non-Firefox users, that is), how many people would really want to add that to their site?
